preparing the boat for the paint job

After going back and forth several times questioning whether we wanted to paint the boat blue and the benefits or downsides of this, we agreed that even though the colored hull would increase the temperature a few degrees, we really really liked the color so... we decided for the blue. Preparing the boat took several weeks. From sanding to filling blisters to sanding once more and many many more times.... I was amazed by how much sanding we did... and how much work this entailed. And in the middle of the south Florida summer... the work was exhausting to say the least.
