the tower

one of the best projects of the boat. Esteban turned a boom from another boat that Robert gave us into the tower that would hold the wind generator, the radar, the TV antenna, a horn and a light...

from brikell to hialeah

well, not technically Hialeah, but close. we rented our place overlooking government cut and the fancy south beach skyline and moved next to the marina right on the Miami river and actually right under a bridge (the view changed quite a bit...). This turned out to be extremely convenient and allowed us to do a lot of work that we would not have been able to get done in the fancy buildings of brickell key... we now got a shed and plenty of space to work, not to mention the joy of having clothes dried by pure sunlight (and the energy savings of course $$ :-)) and the very reliable alarm provided by the roosters from our next door neighbors. Too bad the alarm goes off around 2:00AM

IKE

Right after we splashed the boat news of huricaine IKE came to Miami as a posible category 4 huricaine. Fortunatly for us, this storm never reached miami but we nevertheles did not take any chnaces and prepared the boat for the worse.
