our room!! at least for when we are at anchor, because during passage we will be sleeping whenever we can and wherever is less rocky most probably in the cockpit or in the salon... but for the other nights, we can be here and even watching DVDs or some local basic TV channels!!

engine
the yanmar engine is our child. It literally took nine months to be ready. Esteban took it out in May 2008 for a complete rebuilt and we only got it back in January 2009. I do not suppose anyone worked on it for the entire period, maybe the last couple of weeks sounds more reasonable...
Despite all the wait we now have an old yanmar completely rebuilt. we have a new alternator, new hoses, the oil pump that was always leaking was changed for an electric one and generally all was changed and it is now more reliable.

the year of many travels finally arrived
2009 arrived. our original plans were to depart around January or February but as of April 10 (the date I am updating this post) we have not left. But Puerto Seguro is almost ready and we know we will leave soon, certainly before hurricane season arrives. these are some pictures of how the boat is looking during the first month of 2009.
