tierra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cartagena de indias at last!!!!!!!!!!! after the tough crossing we safely reached cartagena, colombia. tierra bomba to be exact. quite a busy port and entrance.... the cartagena pilot contacted us through the radio and energetically called to us by the wrong name: "......... Puerto escondido, puerto escondido.... please MOVE from the port entrance.... a ship behind you is approaching and triying to enter......" as you can see from the pictures, the other boat clearly had right of way :) so we moved and entered through the beautiful bay which looked more amazing due to the afternoon sunset we had at the time of our arrival!

from port antonio to cartagena
the crossing was rough to say the least. we had 30 knots of wind every day for 5 days and the waves were pretty high.... we got wet because of the splash of the waves against the boat every 10 minutes....... so it was impossible to change clothes and keep dry.... the boat was rocking so heavy i was not able to cook, or i guess i could have but preferred not to, not to get sick... although i got sick nevertheless. we both got sick in fact. but we made it safely and after having done it we both agree it was a tremendous experience.
we definetly recomend it specially for the people that are considering joining a weight reduction program... instead of spending money in one of those weight programms.. just come sailing through this part of the world and i am sure they will losse the extra punds, we guarantee it! in our case it worked wonderfully!
